Why yes, this is indeed the stream
as it passes by your room...
"This was an extraordinary
experience. The beauty of the
mountains and the stream
don't even begin to describe
our stay at Timberwolf Creek:
our amazing room, fabulous
breakfasts every morning, and
wonderful , friendly people."
--Sumter, SC

"Sleeping next to this creek that
wraps from one end of the
house to the other provided
some of the best sleep we've
had in months. The breakfasts
were perfect and far beyond
my expectations."

The Streamsong Room
Our Most Requested Accommodation, The Streamsong was
designed in anticipation of your desire to sleep
alongside the
banks
of this musical stream. You'll find The Streamsong
precisely where you want to be - almost in the
creek! A step through French doors onto your
private deck brings you into the heart of these ancient
woods, and the glory of the dancing waters.
The Streamsong Room speaks with a continental ac
cent...
it is decorated in white and French blue Toile du Jouy.
Your queen-size cherry sleighbed beckons with fine
linens and feather pillows, with lace draped overhead.
A little firelight stove adds ambiance and warmth - just
turn the heat to 'off' for a flickering fire in the
summer time!
The desk is an antique mahogany Sheraton vanity, with
tenderly cared for
linen handkerchiefs tucked under the glass top. Even the
nightstands are old dresser boxes -
little mahogany
drawers that Ladies kept on top of their dressing
tables. Larry has carefully restored them and mounted
them to the walls on either side of the sleigh bed...
That's where you'll find the dual controls to
your
electric mattress warmer... And your clock/radio/CD
player...
The bath is utterly divine with a whirlpool-tub-for-two,
set in a grotto-like gray stone brought from Italy, and
accented with river rock taken right out of the stream.
And you're going to love the water faucet - it's a
refitted pump! The stones in the wall came right
out of the stream (Larry can tell you that
story) and are set in a pattern to match the porcelain
tiles brought to us all the way from Italy. Add a
good quality handheld shower (yes, with a wall-mount for
a traditional shower), some big fat towels and our
signature Bayberry soaps and amenities and you've got a
miniature spa in your room!
The absolute best
part is the Streamsong deck, which hangs right out over
the little waterfalls. A 12-foot peaked roof (and
ceiling fan!) make this outdoor room the best place to
be. We knew you'd love it, so we put French doors that
open right out onto the deck. (They also
serve as your private entry to your room.) And you can
even order a Room Service Breakfast Basket to enjoy in this magical setting.
